Dirk Kemp transferred to Liverpool

Liverpool added another South African to their playing strength yesterday when they signed Dirk Kemp on his arrival from Cape Town at Southampton. Kemp is the eight South African player to join the Anfield club, and his arrival coincide with the return to health of Arthur Riley, a fellow countryman, who will provide competition for the honour of keeping goal for the club.
