Liverpool fans calls for George Kay


Sunday, February 14 – 1937
Some of the Liverpool supporters were so upset over their team’s failure that they indulged in ironical clapping and booing near the end of the game. At the finish they gathered round the offices and yelled, “We want Kay” – meaning George Kay, the Liverpool manager.
