An echo of the Crystal Palace v. Liverpool FA Cup tie at Selhurst Park on January 8 is contained in the report of the Disciplinary Committee of the Football Association, issued yesterday. The minutes in question reads as follows –
“Crystal Palace v. Liverpool – the Association Cup competition – 8th January, 1938.
“Complaints by Crystal Palace F.C. with regard to statements containing allegations reflecting upon the good name of their club printed in the Liverpool F.C. programme of 12th January, 1938.
“The committee decided that the Liverpool club be ordered to publish in their programme on the occasion of their next first team home game a withdrawal of the allegations complained of, and to express their regret at their publication.”

Do you know what it was that Liverpool had supposedly written?
Hi Greg,
I have not found that out yet. I am very curious though so will check it out as soon as I visit British Library, Colindale again.
