Jack Shield transferred to West Bromwich

West Bromwich Albion have signed Jack Shield from Wolverhampton Wanderers, an excellent half-back who can play anywhere in the intermediate line. He is a native of Whitburn, and played for Bishop Auckland, securing amateur international honours.

Then he signed for the Wanderers and is still a schoolmaster at Wolverhampton. He was one of the players lent by the Wanderers to Dudley Town last year. He is 22, stands 6ft., and weighs 12st 2lb.
