Cecil Ambler, Annfield Plain’s 18-year-old goalkeeper, who has been showing good form this season and attracting the attention of many League clubs will go to Liverpool to-morow to play a month’s trial.
Ambler, who is 5ft. 10in. in height and weighs 11st. 4lbs., is a local product and last season was on Newcastle United’s books as an amateur.
A short while ago he refused to go for a month’s trial with Bolton Wanderers.
