The most important Central League match of the season will be staged at Anfield tomorrow, when Liverpool oppose Manchester United. The game has been brought forward from Saturday. It is, in truth, a “life and death” struggle, for two vital issues are at stake.
Liverpool have been struggling to avoid the necessity of having to apply for re-election, and if they win tomorrow they will be safe. Manchester are fighting for the championship of the League and if they win tomorrow they will secure it!
With the two clubs having different aims and objects, I can picture a really thrilling battle. Liverpool directors meet this evening to select their side for duty.
