Players in Football League matches will be numbered next season. This decision was reached by the annual meeting of the Football League in London, to-day.
Mr. W.C. Cuff, the new president, put the motion, and the club adopted it by a narrow majority.
No one expected the subject of compulsory numbering to be mentioned. It was anticipated that a vote on optional numbering would be taken.
