The Football League announce that the method of numbering footballers will be uniform in the Cup and League matches next season. It will be from 2 to 11, omitting the goalkeeper. Last week at Torquay the League agreed to number their players from 1 to 10, but yesterday Mr. Fred Howarth, the League secretary, revealed that the FA pointed out the desirability of avoiding different methods. Consequently the League have decided to follow the 2 to 11 scheme, which will be in use in England and on the Continent.
