Liverpool have chosen the following eleven for their Regional match against Crewe, at Anfield, on New Year’s Day: –
Eric Mansley, George Saunders, Jack Tennant, Matt Busby, Walter Halsall, Stan Eastham, Billy Liddell, Berry Nieuwenhuys, Cyril Done, Len Carney, Herman Van Den Berg.
Saunders is the Everton Reserve back who has been loaned to Anfield.
Everton meet Southport in a friendly at Haig Avenue. The team will be the same as that which plays Blackpool today except that Wally Boyes will be at outside left instead of Gordon Bailey and Fred Sweeney will play at outside right.
