Alf Hanson’s recovery


Saturday, July 12 – 1941
Merseyside football followers will be delighted to know that Alf Hanson, the Chelsea outside left, has now left hospital following the severe knee injury suffered when helping his old club, Liverpool, against Everton at Goodison Park on Whit Monday.

Liverpool sent Alf away to Oswestry for special treatment, and he has made excellent progress. He is now home again.
