Berry Nieuwenhuys has received notice that he has been awarded the Czech Military Medal of Merit for services rendered to the Czech Fighter Squadrons of the RAF. Congratulations, Berry. For a long time Nieuwenhuys has been P.T. instructor to a Czech squadron and the award proves how well he has done his job.
On Christmas Day Berry’s second daughter was born – the first died – and he is proud of the fact that he is skipper of the club leading the North Cup Qualifying Competition with a 100 per cent distinction shared by four clubs.
