Blackburn Rovers have transferred Jack Westby, right full back, to Liverpool, at a fee understood to run into four figures.
Westby played for Liverpool in Saturday’s cup tie against Chesterfield. Joining the Rovers from Orrell, he played his first game for the Reserves in the last match of the 1935-36 season.

Jack Westby ended up teaching PE at the then named Litherland central school for boys, on Church Road Litherland . He was FAB my god could he kick a ball.
Hi Dave,
Thanks for sharing the information. It must have been something special to be close to a real time LFC hero.
