Three schoolboys signed for Liverpool F.C.

June 24, 1950
Three Welsh schoolboys, Peter J. Evans (centre half), Malcolm Fearon (centre forward), and John Parry (outside right), have all signed amateur forms for Liverpool F.C. The boys were signed by Mr. Tom Williams, now chief scout of Liverpool and formerly manager of Wrexham F.C.

This followed their brilliant display for North Wales Schoolboys at Pwlhell, when they beat Cheshire Boys 4-3. This was the first game of the newly-constituted North Wales Schools’ Football Association, and its initial success augurs well for the future.
