Liverpool Football Club trainer, Mr. Frederick Albert Shelley, gave away his daughter, Miss Barbara Shelley, when she was married to-day at St. Columba’s Church, Anfield, to Mr. Kenneth McCartney. The Rev. John G. Williams officiated.
Wearing a dress of white Nottingham lace and nylon tulle with an elbow length veil held in place by a coronet of pearls, the bride carried a hand-spray of lilies of the valley, white roses and stephanotis.
The Misses Audrey Shelley, Helen McCartney and Lynda Munro were the bridesmaid, and Mr. Terence Shelley, the best man.
For their honeymoon the bride and bridegroom travelled by air to Jersey.
