Des Palmer is progressing

Des Palmer, Liverpool’s Welsh International centre forward, who had both cartilages removed recently following an injury he received in a Central League match late last season, is progressing very favourably.

Manager Phil Taylor, who accompanied Palmer when he visited the club’s specialist this week, says that the report on Palmer was very good and that though the fact that the player had both cartilages removed means that recovery is likely to take longer than usual, he is hopeful that Palmer will be in light training within the next fortnight.

Palmer is already doing muscle-strengthening exercises; is out and about and feels confident that he will make a successful come-back as a first-teamer.
