  1. John (Jack) Pears was my father. To correct an inaccuracy, he was born in 1904 not 1907. He died on 31st October 1959 aged 55 at Horley, Surrey.

  2. Pears played 3 games for Liverpool in Central League 1927/28. 10/3-1928 Oldham (h) 0-0. 9/4-1928 -Bury (a) 2-2.. 14/4-1928 Sheffield W. (a) 2-2.
