Liverpool F.C. will have a new mascot next season – a youngster who has already appeared on the pitch in a learning capacity. The boy who has been mascot for the past 10 years is 13-years-old David Goodman, of Geneva Road, Wallasey (left), who has been grooming his successor, four-years-old Leslie McCann, of Gladstone Road, Liverpool (right). David, retiring with regret due to the years putting inches on him and putting him out of the mascot class, is shown here with the new boy.
