Liverpool agreed terms to-day with Crewe Alexandra for the transfer of ex-England Under-23 international winger Davie Wilson and former Bootle schoolboy and England schoolboy international wing half Roy Evans.
I believe the joint fee to be almost £10,000 and the two players are expected to talk terms with Crewe manager Ernie Tagg to-morrow to try to finalise the deal.
Wilson signed for Liverpool 15 months ago for £20,000 but has never made a first team appearance. Already this season Wilson has turned down one chance of a move after Liverpool and Luton agreed terms of around £11,000.
Evans, 19, has also never made a first team appearance but has shown considerable promise in the reserves and A teams.
