Liverpool may not have won the Cup or the League this season, but they are still the best team in the land, claims painter Tom Winkle.
Tom, of 40 Wilmslow Drive, Ellesmore Port, has put up the players’ names on a giant gas holder now being built at Dingle, Liverpool.
He did the painting in his own time to show his high regard for the team. Naturally the painting was in redlead with which the holder will eventually be covered before being painted a colour yet to be decided.
