Mr. Stanley Ronald Williams, chairman of Liverpool F.C. when they reached the F.A. Cup Final in 1950, has died. He was 68.
Mr. Williams was a director of the club from 1931 to 1955 and was elected chairman in 1944. His father, the late William Robert Williams, was also a former chairman of the club.
Among to-day’s tributes to Mr. Williams was one from present Liverpool president, Mr. Thomas Valentine Williams (T.V. Williams). He said: “Ronnie worked very, very hard for the club. He was a great servant to Liverpool and to football in general.”
