Burnley player fined


Monday, June 4 – 1894
At Blackburn, on Monday, Jas. Mullineux, the Burnley half-back, was charged with being drunk in charge of a horse and carriage at midnight. A constable stopped the horse, and found prisoner lying in the bottom of the vehicle. He was without his hat, and his hand was badly cut, caused by a fight with a man just previously. The Bench imposed a fine of 20s. and costs, or 14 days.
