General Stevenson leaves for Barnsley

Barnsley have about completed the football team for the coming season, and on on Saturday George “General” Stevenson, a back from the Liverpool club, was signed, and should prove of great value to Barnsley. Stevenson is 24 years old and is a well-built player. He occasionally did duty in the first team last season when opportunity offered itself and two seasons ago he played in two of the replayed English Cup-ties against Sheffield United.
