Green goes to Middlesbrough

Thursday, February 9 – 1905
Yesterday morning arrangements were completed for the transfer of Tommy Green from Stockport County to Middlesbrough, the sum of £300 having changed hands over the transaction.

Several clubs were anxious to secure the County’s smart centre forward, but Mr. F. Stewart, the Stockport secretary, met a representative of Middlesbrough at Liverpool, and Green, who, by the way, resides at Rock Ferry, was transferred.
