Aston Villa’s good season was disclosed by the balance sheet issued last night. The gate money received was £17,700, but £3,400 was paid away. The net income was £15,478, and the profit is £3,376. Players’ wages absorbed £5,934, and the travelling and training expenses were £2,231. The total match expenses were £3,347, and the general expenses £2,005. The Villa have £9,709 in hand.
