The Blackburn Rovers’ Club, after two years’ existence, obtained a ground on the Alexandra Meadows, in 1876, and in 1882 migrated to the Leamington ground. On their present ground at Ewood Park, which is illustrated in this picture, the record crowd accommodated was on Good Friday last, April 13th, v Preston North End. The “gate” receipts were £840 10s 7d, the number paying for admission being 28,000. The total attendance that day, with members, would be 29,000. As will be seen in the photograph, a large new stand is in course of erection.
