The Liverpool F.C. office burgled for stamps

January 6, 1908
The office of Mr. Tom Watson, the secretary of the Liverpool Football Club, was broken into  early yesterday morning, but the burglars gained little reward for their trouble. The office safe was broken open, but only 1s. 10d. in stamps was found. Books and papers concerning the club’s affairs were strewn about the floor but beyond the small amount already stated the visitors were grievously disappointed.
