By allowing Elisha Scott to play for Ireland, and Kenneth Campbell for Scotland, on Saturday, Liverpool left themselves in a quandary. It is not easy to find a deputy for both one’s goalkeepers.
However, “Bee” learns exclusively that Liverpool have been in touch with Preston North End, who have Howard Baker’s signature, for a reliable goalkeeper to assist them at Sheffield. The result is that Howard Baker will make his first League appearance at Hillsborough. He has been doing good work with Northern Nomads. Baker is the famous Olympic jumper.
