Negotiations were completed last night for the transfer of Cyril Oxley, Chesterfield’s outside left, to Liverpool at the highest fee ever paid for a Chesterfield player. Oxley joined Chesterfield in 1923 from a Derbyshire club, and he has made marked improvement.
