The death of Mr. William Robert Williams

The death occurred yesterday of Mr William Robert Williams, director and ex-chairman of the Liverpool Football Club, at his home, “Caithness,” Menlo Avenue, Mossley Hill, Liverpool. Mr Williams. Who was 60 years of age, was one of the most popular members of the Anfield club, and was elected a director in 1903.

He was a keen judge of a player, and was chairman of the club during their most successful season, when they won the League championship two years in succession. He resigned the chairmanship five years ago, but continued as a director. Mr Williams was well known in football circles throughout the British Isles.
