Liverpool wind up a season which started badly and is finishing brightly with a visit to Stoke. To-day, manager Bob McGrory’s side is fighting unexpectedly against adversity. Stoke have struck a streak of bad luck and a packet of injuries at the most awkward time, and whereas two or three months ago Stoke were will up, and Liverpool looked like finishing in the ruck, the positions are now reversed.
Liverpool will want to finish with a victory, and after their brilliant display at Arsenal, where they were right out of luck, they may be expected to make Stoke’s task difficult.
There is one doubt in the Liverpool side. It will not be known until later whether Tom Bush will be fit to play. It depends on his test whether he will come back or whether Rogers will continue at centre half.
