Wolves’” goalkeeper. Height 6ft. 2in. Weight 13st. Had a trial for Lancashire Boys, and when one of the goalkeepers failed to turn out, the teams were re-arranged and Scott was put in goal. Justified the change in his position and kept goal for England boys against Wales. Leaving school, worked in a shipping clerk’s office. Was with Liverpool when 16 years old. “Wolves” paid more for Scott than for any other member of their present First Division side when he joined the club from Burnley.
