No extra railway facilities

The Ministry of Home Security have informed the Football Association that, subject to the usual proviso, though a change in the war situation may necessitate a change in the Government policy with regard to entertainments for the coming football season in England and Scotland.

The Ministry of War Transport, however, emphasise that no additional railway facilities can be provided in connection with football matches. Regional Transport Commissioners will have discretion to allow road transport for professional teams to places within a radius of fifty miles.
