Liverpool made a bid this week for Wilfrid Alsop, Harp’s 17-year-old inside right. Had he gone south, Liverpool were to try to obtain a vacancy for him at Liverpool University so that he could continue his studies. The player, however, prefers to stay in Scotland.
Wilf, who joined Harp from Arbroath Youth Club six weeks ago, is a pupil of Arbroath High School.
