Funeral tribute to Reds stalwart
Mourners crowded into St. Peter’s Church, Woolton, for the funeral of Liverpool F.C. director Sydney Moss. Representatives from politics, sport and the police were among those paying their last respects to Mr. Moss, who died at his Gateacre home, aged 81.
Councillor Rosemary Cooper, Lord Mayor of Liverpool, headed the civic delegation.
Liverpool F.C. chairman David Moores was present with the rest of his board, along with an Everton party headed by Sir Philip Carter.
Former Liverpool managers Bob Paisley, Joe Fagan and Kenny Dalglish headed a group of past and present Anfield coaches.
Among the playing staff present were former Footballer of the Year Steve Nicol and goalkeeper Bruce Grobbelaar.
